April 6

Men’s Lacrosse vs. Lawrence Tech, 14-7 W

The men’s lacrosse team extended their winning streak to six after defeating the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils by a final score of 14-7. It was a close game at the half, with the Saints only leading 5-3 despite outshooting the Blue Devils 28-14. A strong offensive second half would be the difference, however, as nine goals allowed the Saints to pull away for the win. Danny Orr led the Saints with three goals and goalie Tyler Hooper recorded 13 saves in the net.

April 7

Women’s Lacrosse vs. Davenport, 21-2 L

In harsh snowy conditions, the women’s lacrosse team struggled to find their groove in a 21-2 loss to the visiting Davenport Panthers. The Panthers put things away early, outscoring the Saints 13-2 by halftime and following that up with a defensive shutout in the second half. Aliisa Mason scored both goals for the Saints and goalie Tabitha Ferguson led the way defensively with 12 saves and three ground balls in the loss.

April 8

April 11

Baseball @ Lourdes (Ohio), 17-2 W & 2-0 L

The SHU baseball team split their double-header with Lourdes (Ohio) in a tale of two games. In game one, the Saints scratched across six runs in the fourth followed by another six in the fifth to defeat the Gray Wolves 17-2 in an offensive showcase. Game two was the complete opposite, as the two runs scored by Lourdes in the first inning would be all they needed as the Saints offense went silence in a 2-0 loss. Freddy Jehle had two of the three multi-base hits for the Saints over the course of the double-header, recording both a triple and a double in the loss.

April 12

Softball @ Cleary (Mich.), 6-4 W & 6-5 L

The SHU softball team split their double-header with Cleary (Mich.) in two closely contested games. In game two, Cleary came on top of another close contest by a final score of 6-5. At one point the Saints were down 4-1, but a late comeback was ultimately held off by Cleary. Abbott once again contributed two hits and two RBIs in the game, although this time resulting in a loss.
