Green Light Club Urges Sustainability at SHU

The Green Light Club is the environmental science club. The club tries to have the presence on campus and urge the campus to be more sustainable.

Club members put on Earth Day celebrations and attend the sustainability meetings with the faculty. Willow Cohn is a member of this club.

“We attend educational events and try to inspire and encourage other students to get involved,” Cohn said.

The club also involves volunteering in the community and on campus. Cohn said she believes that this year they are trying to have a zero waste tailgate and establish composting in the dining hall. She said the club started with other students years ago who wanted to get involved.
