It’s no secret that the Paranormal Activity franchise has been dragging through the mud as of late. To only bounce back (somewhat) with the surprisingly effective spin-off, The Marked Ones, just last year. After seeing the latest and (hopefully) final installment, subtitled The Ghost Dimension, it’s apparent these films have forgotten where they came from. Save for the already distraught timeline of events (the 2nd takes place before the 1st etc.) – Ghost Dimension finds itself continuing on the saga of where the fourth installment left off. Only this time WE can see the activity in 3D (or that’s the gimmick the studio is selling us – ehh I’m not buying). The 3D looks like it was recycled out of a trash can, adding hardly any effect to the final product. As usual, things do go bump in the night, and there are some good jolts that can spook you (no matter how cheap they are) and with this ‘supposedly’ being the final installment, some lingering questions do get answered. Yet – after sitting through six of these films, I expected a little more of a conclusion, a feature I fear might have been too much to ask. Grade: C
