March 21

Softball @ Adrian College. W 7-4.

Kenya Keller hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh to give the Saints a 7-4 victory over cross-town rival, Adrian College. Keller finished the game 2-4 with a run scored and five runs driven in as Kyndle Wolfinger went 3-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Earning the win for SHU was Lesley Ducat as she pitched a complete game, finishing with eight strikeouts.

Men’s Lacrosse @ Lawrence Tech. L 11-10.

The Saints outscored Lawrence Tech 7-5 in the first half, before being outscored 7-3 in the second half to drop the game by a final score of 11-10. Leading the Saints with four goals was Chris Acton while Shane Lewandowski and Nicholas Lyons added two goals apiece. Taking the loss in net for SHU was Tyler Hooper as he finished the game with a team leading eight groundballs and 15 saves.

Softball @ Adrian College. W 9-1.

The Saints scored five runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back as they downed Adrian College by a final score of 9-1 in six innings. Kris Forest led the team with three RBI’s as she finished the game 1-2 with a two-run homer while Kenya Keller went 2-3 with an RBI and a team leading three runs scored. Earning the win for SHU was Lindsay Brandon as she pitched a complete game finishing with four strikeouts.

March 22

Women’s Lacrosse @ Lourdes. W 12-11.

The Saints were outscored 5-3 in the first half, before outscoring Lourdes 9-6 in the second half to earn the 12-11 victory. Aliisa Mason and Marissa Cirino each scored four goals apiece for the Saints while Kayla Parks added two goals of her own. Earning the win for SHU was Tabitha Ferguson as she finished with a team leading five groundballs and 15 saves.

Men’s Volleyball vs. Davenport. W 3-0.

The Saints took the first three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-19 to earn a 3-0 match win over Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent, Davenport. Leading the Saints with 11 kills and 15 points was Tyler Hubbard-Neil. Keegan Crawford added a team leading 35 service aces while Emilier DeJesus added 12 digs for SHU.

March 24

Men’s Lacrosse @ Robert Morris. W 10-7.

The Saints outscored Robert Morris 8-3 in the first half, which helped lead them to a 10-7 victory. Leading the Saints with three goals and two assists was Chris Acton while Nicholas Lyons added two goals and two assists as Shane Lewandowski added two goals and an assist. Mitchell Sulfaro led SHU with five groundballs as Tyler Hooper earned the win in net finishing with 15 saves.

Softball vs. Michigan-Dearborn. W 8-7.

The Saints gave up two runs in the seventh inning but were able to hang on for an 8-7 victory over Michigan-Dearborn. Kris Forest went 3-4 for the Saints including an RBI double and a three-run homer to finish with two runs scored and five RBI’s. Kenya Keller went 3-3 including a triple and two runs scored while Kyndle Wolfinger also scored twice. Earning the win for SHU was Lesley Ducat as she pitched a complete game, finishing with three strikeouts.

Baseball vs. Davenport. L 8-3.

The Saints scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh but were unable to handle Davenport, as the Saints dropped the WHAC contest 8-3. Carson Wlad went 2-4 with a two-run triple while John Watts went 3-4 with an RBI. Earning the loss for SHU was Kyle Kuhr as he allowed 10 hits, six earned runs, and three walks, before striking out four.

Softball vs. Michigan-Dearborn. T 4-4.

The Saints were unable to score in the bottom of the eighth and finished in a 4-4 tie with WHAC opponent, Michigan-Dearborn in game two of the double-header. Skylar Crenshaw went 2-2 with an RBI for the Saints as Lindsay Brandon went 2-3 with an RBI. Also picking up an RBI was Kris Forest and Bailee Taylor. On the mound for SHU was Brandon as she pitched a complete game allowing just two earned runs and eight walks to go with four strikeouts.

Baseball vs. Davenport. L 11-1.

The Saints were only able to get two hits as they fell 11-1 to Davenport. Picking up the two hits for the Saints were Matthew Bondy and James Boice. Earning the loss for SHU was Taylor Acquista as he allowed nine hits, seven runs, and two homeruns in just 2.1 innings pitched before being relieved by Chris McKiddie who allowed three hits and four runs in the final 4.2 innings pitched.

March 25

Baseball vs. Davenport. L 5-3.

The Saints allowed two runs in the top of the ninth and were unable to get them back in the bottom half of the inning as they fell 5-3 to Davenport. Brendan Baker went 1-4 with a run scored and two RBI’s for the Saints while Carson Wlad went 1-4 with the other RBI. Starting on the mound for SHU and earning the no decision was Erich Klingelhofer as he pitched seven innings allowing three runs. Relieving him and taking the loss was Ben Finn as he allowed two runs in 1.1 innings.

Women’s Lacrosse vs. Lawrence Tech. L 19-3.

The Saints were unable to score in the first half as they dropped a WHAC contest to Lawrence Tech, 19-3. Taylor Swartz scored a goal and had the lone assist for the Saints as Kayla Parks and Aliisa Mason added a goal. Parks also led with seven groundballs. Taking the loss in net was Tabitha Ferguson as she finished the game with nine saves.

March 26

Women’s Lacrosse @ Aquinas. W 17-15.

The Saints were outscored 9-7 in the first half before outscoring Aquinas 10-6 in the second half to earn the 17-15 victory. Leading the Saints with five goals was Aliisa Mason while Kayla Parks added four and Audrey Jarrad, Alyssa Hopkins and Marissa Cirino added two goals apiece. Cirino led the team with three assists as Parks led with five groundballs. Earning the win in net for SHU was Tabitha Ferguson as she finished the game with 10 saves.
