October 9

Men’s Golf @ WHAC Jamboree #4

The Saints finished with a team score of 325 to earn sixth place. Leading SHU with a 78 was Jimmy Monteith. Following Monteith with a 79 and 80 was Nick Sanscrainte and Aaron Bitz, respectively. Lastly, Nate Hamilton scored an 88 while Dominic Dimaya scored a 90 for the Saints.

 

October 10

Men’s Golf @ WHAC Jamboree #5

The Saints finished with a team 298 to earn fifth place. Leading the way for SHU was Nick Sanscrainte with a 70 to tie for fifth place individually. Following Sanscrainte was James Monteith and Aaron Bitz with a 73 and 77, respectively. Lastly, Dominic Dimaya scored a 78 while Nate Hamilton scored a 79 for the Saints.

 

October 11

Women’s Soccer @ Lourdes. T 2-2, 2OT.

The Saints fell behind Lourdes 2-0, but were able to come back to tie the game and end it in a 2-2 tie. Kathryn Gordon scored the first goal for SHU off an assist from Ashley Strong. About 10 minutes later, Samantha Bartelotti scored the game-tying goal off an assist from Gordon. Neither team was able to score in both overtimes as the game ended in a tie. Meghan Bogg and Taylor Hill combined for four saves for the Saints.

Men’s Soccer VS. Lourdes. W 3-2, OT.

The Saints blew a 2-1 lead late in the second half, but were able t come back and score in overtime to earn the 3-2 victory over Lourdes. Opening the scoring for SHU was Justin Gray off an assist from Chris Ornelas. Elemedin Celovic scored the second goal for SHU off assists from Austin Siterlet and Rahbar Kahn. Scoring the game winning unassisted goal in overtime for the Saints was Matt Lentine. Earning the win in goal for SHU was Andrew Kozan, Kozan made six saves in the winning effort.

Women’s Volleyball @ Lourdes. L 3-1.

The Saints struggled as they only won one set, and fell to Lourdes by a match score of 3-1. Leading the Saints with 14 points and 12 kills was Elizabeth Breton. Gabby Kalugar led SHU with 25 digs while Amanda Metz and Paige Hudgin tallied 13 digs apiece. Metz also tallied a team leading 30 aces.

 

October 13

Men’s Cross Country @ Jayhawk Invitational.

The Saints totaled 53 points to earn second place as a team. Leading the way for the Saints was Esrom Woldemichael. Woldemichael was the first collegiate finisher in the 8k with a time of 25:25.21. Next for SHU was Jareb Duggan and Bradley Bauer in 10th and 12th place with times of 26:42.39. Lastly, for the Saints, Nicholas Barth and Joe Vermilye finished in 16th and 18th place with times of 27:05.15 and 27:09.65, respectively.

Women’s Cross Country @ Jayhawk Invitational.

The Saints were able to secure send place with a total of 126 points. Leading the way for the Saints was Ashley Russo with a time of 18:42.56 in the 5k to earn fifth place individually. Next for SHU was Andrea Crowe and Anna Buist with times of 19:32.33 and 19:50.04 to earn 20th and 27th place. Lastly, for the Saints, Patricia Santos-Buitrago and Megan Rosales placed 34th and 58th with times of 20:03.78 and 20:27.28, respectively.

Women’s Volleyball VS. Olivet Nazarene. W 3-1.

The Saints were able to win three of four sets against Olivet Nazarene to win the match by a score of 3-1. Abby Whitehead and Christine Tylutki both led the Saints with 14.5 points and had 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Anna Tartarian totaled a team-high two service aces. Gabby Kalugar led SHU with 20 digs.

Women’s Volleyball VS. Cumberlands. W 3-0.

The Saints had no problems handling Cumberlands as they won all three sets by scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-20 to earn the 3-0 sweep. Leading the way for the Saints with 13.5 points and 12 kills was Christine Tylutki. Elizabeth Breton followed closely with 11 kills while Paige Hudgin added 10 kills and 15 digs. Leading SHU with 17 digs was Gabby Kalugar.

 

October 14

Women’s Golf @ WHAC Jamboree #2

The Saints carded a 363 in the first and a 349 in the second to earn fifth place with a total team score of 712 for both rounds. Leading the way for the Saints was Lauren Cojei. Cojei carded an 86 and 82 in the first and second rounds respectively, for a 168 total to tie for seventh place individually. Next was Dakota Spears who tied for 11th, shooting an 88 and 85 for a 173 total. Rounding out the scoring for SHU was Madisyn Reed with a 182 and Allie Barron with a 190. Also playing for Siena Heights was Carley Hall with a 193.

Women’s Volleyball VS. Taylor. W 3-0.

The Saints played a closely contested match with Taylor, but the Saints were able to win the sets by scores of 25-23, 26-24 and 25-23 to earn the 3-0 sweep. Leading the way for SHU was Christine Tylutki with 19 points and 19 kills. Amanda Metz led the team with two service aces as Paige Hudgin led with 23 digs.

Men’s Soccer VS. Cornerstone. W 5-1.

The Saints scored four goals in the second half to help propel them to a 5-1 victory over Cornerstone. Leading the way for the Saints was Rahbar Kahn with two goals and three assists. Kahn scored the lone goal in the first half. Elmedin Celovic opened the scoring in the second half off assists from Kahn and Matt Lentine. Kahn followed by scoring his second unassisted goal of the game. After allowing a goal, the Saints came back to score two goals before the contest ended. Those goals came by Brayden Stephan off an assist from Kahn and by Brendan Tobias off an assist from Kahn and Enoch Tsibu-Beckson. Andrew Kozan earned the win in net for SHU as he stopped three shots.

Women’s Volleyball VS. Indiana-South Bend. W 3-0.

The Saints cruised past IU-South Bend by winning the three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-18 to earn the 3-0 sweep. Leading the way for the Saints with 13 points and 12 kills was Elizabeth Breton. Amanda Metz totaled a team-high three service aces as Anna Tartarian led SHU with 15 digs.

Women’s Soccer VS. Cornerstone. W 4-0.

The Saints scored three goals in the first half, which helped them earn a 4-0 shutout victory over Cornerstone. Scoring the first and game winning goal was Taylor Mulder off an assist from Samantha Bartelotti. Julia Stancato added on to the scoring off an assist from Bartelotti and Emily Burkman. Scoring the final goal of the half for SHU was Kathryn Gordon off an assist from Ashley Strong. Scoring the lone goal in the second half to conclude the scoring was Danielle Eastman off an assist from Mulder. Earning the shutout victory in net was Taylor Hill. Hill made three saves in goal.

Football VS. Saint Francis (Ind.). L 36-9.

The Saints were unable to control the defending NAIA National Champions on homecoming as they fell 36-9 to Saint Francis (Ind.) on senior night. Lucas Barner Jr. went 20-30 passing with 196 yards while D’aries Davis had 19 rushes for 49 yards and a touchdown. Leading the Saints with seven catches and 81 yards receiving was Braelen Bader. Aaron Wagner punted the ball five times for a total of 173 yards. Leading SHU with 10 total tackles was Da’Quan Butler while Joshua Jackson led with two pass break-ups. DeVonte Malcolm also blocked a punt for SHU, which led to a safety.

 

October 17

Women’s Golf @ WHAC Jamboree #3.

The Saints finished with a team 687 after carding a 339 in the first round and a 348 in the second to earn fifth place as a team. Leading the way for SHU was freshman, Dakota Spears. Spears hit a hole-in-one on day one and finished tied for seventh individually after shooting a 79 in the first round and an 83 in the second, totaling 162. Next for the Saints was Lauren Cojei. Cojei carded an 81 and 85 for a 166 total. Madisyn Reed followed with a 90 and an 83 for a 173 the final two Saint Finishers where Carley Hall and Allie Barron. Hall and Barron shot a 91 and 91 for a 188 after two rounds.

 

October 18

Men’s Soccer @ Indiana Tech. L 5-1.

The Saints struggled as they fell 5-1 to Indiana Tech. Brent Rodden scored the lone goal for the Saints off an assist from Rahbar Kahn. Rodden led the team with four shots while Elmedin Celovic followed with three. Taking the loss in net for SHU was Andrew Kozan. Kozan allowed four goals and made four saves before being replaced by Allan Szcesniak. Szcesniak allowed a goal and made two saves.

Women’s Soccer VS. Indiana Tech. W 3-2, OT.

The Saints were able to come back to tie the game and earn a 3-2 victory in overtime against Indiana Tech. The Saints were down 1-0 heading into the second until Taylor Mulder scored an unassisted penalty kick to tie the game. SHU was down again until Samantha Bartelotti scored off an assist from Mulder to force overtime. Scoring the game winner in overtime was Emily Burkman off an unassisted penalty kick. Taylor Hill earned the win for the Saints as she made one save as she relieved Meghan Bogg. Bogg allowed both goals and made three saves before being pulled for Hill.

Women’s Volleyball VS. Rochester. W 3-0.

The Saints dominated Rochester as they won the first three sets by scores of 25-7, 25-12 and 25-13. Leading the way for the Saints was Christine Tylutki with 9.5 points and nine kills. Bianca Negron led SHU with four service aces as Gabby Kalugar and Anna Tartarian led with eight digs apiece.

 

October 20

Men’s Golf @ Yellow Jacket Invitational.

The Saints carded a 332 and a 317 for a 649 total to earn second place as a team. Leading the way for the Saints was Nick Sanscrainte. Sanscrainte finished in third place individually with a 82 first round score and a 76 second round score for a 158 total. Aaron Bitz finished closely behind in fourth place individually with a first and second round score of 81 and 78 for a 159 total. James Monteith also placed in the top-10 as he tied for seventh carding an 88 and a 76 for a 164 total. Lastly, for SHU, Darien Zeluff carded an 83 and an 87 for a 170 while James Kuenzer carded an 86 and 94 for a 180 total.

Women’s Volleyball @ Madonna. L 3-1.

The Saints were able to win set one by a score 25-23, before dropping the next three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-10 and 25-22 to fall 3-1 to Madonna. Christine Tylutki led the Saints with 17.5 points and 14 kills. Paige Hudgin contributed a team-high four service aces. Gabby Kalugar led SHU with 19 digs while Hudgin and Tylutki added 16 and 11, respectively.

 

October 21

Men’s Cross Country @ NAIA Great Lakes Challenge.

The Saints finished with 228 points earning eighth place as a team. Leading the way for the Saints was Esrom Woldemichael. Woldemichael finished the eight-kilometer course in 25:40.08. Bradley Bauer followed closely with a time of 26:20.17. Lastly, for SHU, placing 63rd, 65th and 66th was Anthony Vermilye, Jareb Duggan and Nicholas Barth with times of 27:02.17, 27:04.11 and 27:04.23, respectively.

Women’s Cross Country @ NAIA Great Lakes Challenge.

The Saints finished with 242 points earning eighth place a team. Leading the way for the Saints was Ashley Russo. Russo crossed the finish line in 18:35.91 to take 11th place individually on the five-kilometer course. Andrea Crowe finished in 38th place with a time of 19:22.36. The final three SHU scoring runners finished within five seconds of each other. These runners consisted of Megan Rosales and Patricia Santos-Buitrago who tied for 62nd and Eva Chmielewski who placed 63rd.

Women’s Volleyball @ Michigan-Dearborn. W 3-0.

The Saints lost set by a score of 25-21 before bouncing back to win the next three by scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 25-15 to earn the 3-1 match victory. Leading the Saints with 13.5 points was Christine Tylutki. Tylutki and Elizabeth Breton also had a team-leading 10 kills. Taylor Felver contributed a team high four service aces while Gabby Kalugar led SHU with 14 digs as Paige Hudgin followed with 13.

Men’s Soccer VS. Marygrove. L 1-0.

The Saints fought hard and had a couple big scoring chances but were unable to capitalize as they fell 1-0 to Marygrove. Justin Gray led the Saints with six shots while Rahbar Kahn and Enoch Tsibu-Beckson had five and four, respectively. Two of the shots by Gray and Tsibu-Beckson were on goal. Taking the loss in net for SHU was Andrew Kozan. Kozan allowed the lone goal on a penalty kick and saved the other shot he faced.
