Men’s Bowling Making Strides

A sport that may not get the attention it deserves around the Siena Heights campus is bowling. Let’s not forget about them! This season the men’s bowling team has made great strides early in the year, eyeing nationals at the end of the season.

Recently  the team finished fifth out of 12 teams in its home tournament in Adrian. Steven Cadwell finished first for the Saints individually and made the All-Tournament team, placing fourth out of all the bowlers who participated. Keith Reid finished second on the team for the Saints and 20th individually for the tournament.

Reid said, “The team is doing really well early in the season.”

The team is currently ranked 29th out of 170 teams. Reid is currently averaging around 185 pins a game, which for the oil patterns the team bowls on is incredibly difficult. Reid said there is still room for improvement to try and make their way up the rankings, but it’s only a matter of time before everything clicks for the team.
