Women's Basketball Preview

The Saints women’s basketball team is looking to take things to another level coming off the 2017-18 season. The Saints lost a few players who were seniors from last year’s roster.

The Saints are looking to make a run this year and win the conference championship. According to team members, having energy coming off the bench this year will be key.

Last year, the Saints struggled with having bench players being able to come in and produce. The junior varsity team did a great job in preparing the young players for the varsity level this year. The current team is looked at to be pretty young, but also have some experience with running the offense.

The Saints are looking to improve on point guard play from last year after only averaging 12 assists per game. The Saints are off to a good start in the 2018 season, averaging 44.8 rebounds, 11.4 assists and a 67.5 free throw percentage per game. With a 3-2 record to start off the season, the Saints hope to keep the ball rolling and continue to play together as one unit.

The Saints host crosstown opponent Adrian College at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20.
