For a while, Aerosmith, seemed to be slowly slipping into retirement releasing no new album in 11 years. As their new record “Music from Another Dimension” pounded through my speakers there is no doubt they still have the talent. Their new songs take a wide range in classifications from classic rock to modern hard rock.
Aerosmith has always been trying to find that new sound for their next album. With “Music from Another Dimension” they found t then went sound and also went back and and perfected their past sounds. Some of their slow songs might meet the popularity of their previous song “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”. One of the songs features Carrie Underwood, when you listen to the song the band seems to morph around her style like a glove. She also moves into a little bit of a rock mode with Steven Tyler, turning the collaboration into a great song!
None of the band members are worn out musically at all. Honestly if you take a look at this album and compare it to their past album “Aerosmith” they have maintained or even grown in quality. Steven Tyler (lead singer) and Joe Perry (lead guitarist) are in my book the best song writing duo since 1971.
