Men’s Soccer Season Winds Down

The Siena Heights men’s soccer team has had an up and down season. They currently hold a 6-10 record on the season and a 4-6 record during conference play. The regular season is quickly winding down as the team is set to take on UNOH is the final regular season game of the year. Now this game can turn out to be huge for the Siena Heights program. If they manage to beat UNOH in the final regular season game, this will be the first time they will make the WHAC tournament.

Junior Justin Gray said, “Our season has been a roller coaster. We have had tough games competing with the best teams in our division and losing by one goal.”

Gray said he feels confident in they can beat UNOH in the regular season finale and get a bid into the tournament. The men’s team is 3-3 in their last six games, and play UNOH on the road, where the Saints are 0-7 this season. So, their first road win of the year will need to be the largest.

Gray also said that this season is a definite upgrade from last year, simply because of the number of goals they have put home this year. They doubled their goal total from last year, with some help from Gray, who had just notched a hat trick against Rochester.

Expect a hard fought game against UNOH, with the seniors leaving it all on the field knowing it could be the last game of their collegiate career.
