Saints Men Down Northwestern Ohio, 89-83

On Nov. 12, the Siena Heights men’s basketball team defeated visiting Northwestern Ohio in a close game, 89-83.

The Saints started off a little slow and were down by five points at the end of the first quarter.

It wasn’t until the second quarter that the Saints were able to get the advantage. Out of Siena’s three top scorers, one of them came off the bench. DeMarco Dickerson, Keith Jordan and PJ Austin all reached double digits.

NW Ohio’s top two scorers, Zach Montes and Isaac Golson Jr. both had 19 points.

Part of the big reason that Siena got the win was that they shot 47.1 percent from the field while Northwestern shot just 42.6 percent.

It was a close and nerve-racking game but, in the end,, the Saints got the win. The Saints will travel to Ann Arbor Nov. 16 to take on the 2-3 Concordia Cardinals.
