After my education finishes at Siena Heights University, I dream of becoming a Livestock Commission Agent. Many people may not know what a Livestock Commission Agent is or what they do on a daily basis and who the people are that they serve. A Livestock Commission Agent oversees the buying and selling of livestock animals, and they make sure that other farm owners are not stealing your animals. Another duty of a Livestock Commission Agent is that they have the power to arrest anybody who is caught stealing or poaching any wildlife if they do not have the tags to hunt that animal. A Livestock Commission Agent is a government job, and these men and women both have the power to carry a gun on them.

I would love to have this job in the future because I love farm animals, such as sheep, cows, horses, chickens, donkeys, and ducks. I would do anything in my power to ensure that nobody steals animals from another farmland owner so that everybody can live peacefully to raise these animals that they have and not take somebody else’s. Another main reason why I would love to have this job is because of the show Yellowstone, and how Kaycee Dutton, a Livestock Commission Agent, makes sure other farmers are not stealing each other’s animals which is portrayed in the show. I also want to be a Livestock Commission Agent because I love the landscape and scenery of the great outdoors in Montana. I love to be outside and work with farm animals since I love them and always want to ensure they are well taken care of. I think the best feeling in the world is waking up at like 4:00 or 5:00 am, being on the road to work before the sun, and seeing all of nature in its habitats moving around. Nature is the best escape for me to get away from the world, be at peace with the fresh air I breathe, and be at peace with all the animals around me.

The only downside to becoming a Livestock Commission Agent is moving away from my family across the state to take this job. This is a downside because I love my family, and I just feel like I will miss out on big family events by being away from them. I fear missing out on specific events and that bums me out, but if it is what I have to do for work and that cannot stop me from living out my dreams. My mom and dad always say if there is something in your life that you would love to do, chase your dreams and do whatever you want to do because life is too short. My parents and siblings fully support my life choices and are my most powerful support system. I cannot thank them enough for their tremendous support and for being my rock through all the ups and downs. I put them first in my life and I am excited to achieve and chase my dreams here in the future and become Livestock Commission Agent Forsythe.
