Women’s Volleyball vs. Cornerstone Classic- 4-0, W

The Saints finished 4-0 at the Aquinas/Cornerstone Classic last weekend. Their wins were against Point Park (Pa.) and Rochester on Friday. They were back at it again on Saturday, defeating Spring Arbor and St. Francis. They swept every one of their opponents. On Friday, Leze Vukaj had 26 kills, Nicole Morgan 34 digs, and Carly Tillotson 60 assists. On Saturday, Vukaj finished with 24 kills, Morgan 30 digs, and Tilotson added 68 assists and eight aces.

Men’s Soccer vs. Lourdes- 1-0, W

The Saints traveled to Lourdes and brought back a 1-0 victory in some conference action. Enoch Tsibu-Beckson had the solo goal. Goalkeeper Leo Hisamatsu made four saves in the goal.

Women’s Soccer vs. Davenport- 1-0, W

The 16th ranked Saints defeated Davenport in double overtime in a conference game. The goal is credited to freshman Danielle Eastman in the 105th minute. Meghan Bogg made one save in the net.

Football vs. Olivet-Nazarene- 45-35, W

The Saints ended their four-game losing streak, making a comeback to defeat Olivet-Nazarene 45-35. Dont’e Fox paved the way scoring three fourth quarter touchdowns and rushing for 137 yards. Reggie Blackmon caught seven passes for 161 yards and Angelo Whittis made nine tackles on defense. .

Women’s Cross Country vs. NAIA Great Lakes Challenge- 5th out of 29 teams

The 25th ranked Saints finished fifth out of 29 teams on Saturday at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids. Ashley Russo finished with a time of 19 minutes, 31 seconds, leading the way for the Saints. Elaine Johnson followed with a 19:38, and Kristin Stobinski finished with a 20:02.

Men’s Cross Country vs. NAIA Great Lakes Challenge-15th

The Saints ran their way to 15th place at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge. Tim Young led the team with a finish time of 28 minutes, 2 seconds, placing 83rd. Kyler Vanwormer 85th (28:07) and Dominic Muessig 114th (28:42).

Men’s Bowling vs. Halo Invitational- 2nd out of 5 teams

Kenneth DeGraaf led the Saints with a 211.83 six-game series average to finish in first place at the home Halo Invitational at Ten Pin Alley in Tecumseh. Following for SHU was Steven Cadwell in sixth (1898.33) and William Shaffran in seventh (184.67). The Saints finished second behind the University of Toledo.

Women’s Bowling vs. Halo Invitational- 2nd out of 5 teams

The Saints earned a second place at their home invitational at Ten Pin Alley in Tecumseh. Tiffany Logan took second place with a six-game series average of 189.5. Amanda Barry was fifth (179.17) and Courtney Herron was eighth with 176.83.

Women’s Soccer vs. Madonna- 3-1, W

The 15th ranked Saints use a pair of goals scored by Danielle Eastman to win against Madonna in a conference game. The goal in the first half came from Samantha Bartelotti. Meghan Bogg had two saves in the net for the Saints.

Oct. 28

Men’s Soccer vs. Indina Tech- 1-0, L

Indiana Tech scores early in the game to defeat the Saints. With just 1:36 into the game, Landon Cochran scored with a pass from Brandon Dinsmore to put Tech on top. Leo Hisamatsu made three saves in the net.

Women’s Volleyball vs. Madonna- 3-0

The Saints fall to 22nd ranked Madonna suffereing an unfortunate 3-0 loss to decision. Carly Tillotson broke her own school record, compiling over 3,500 career assists. She now has 3,523. Leze Vukaj adds 14 kills and Nicole Morgan had 11 digs.
