Men’s Soccer Falls 1-0, But Still ‘Unbreakable’

A solo goal allowed the Indiana Tech University Warriors to claim a 1-0 victory over the Siena Heights Saints.

It was just over a minute into the first half when Landon Cochran received a pass from Brandon Dinsmore. That would be the only goal scored during the match. The final score was 1-0. The Saints fought hard for the rest of the match, making 12 shots at the goal, which was more that Tech’s 10 shots. Leo Hisamatsu stopped three shots in the goal for Siena.

Though this may not have been the outcome they wanted, the men’s soccer team is proud of the immense improvement made from the 2014 season (2-14-2) to the current 2015 season (7-7-2).  According to senior and team captain Kaysey Collins, there is improvement in not only their game, but their chemistry as teammates.

“We have a lot of improving still to do, but this season we are definitely strongest that I’ve seen in my four years (here).” he said. “We are confident and much closer than previous years. I consider every one of my teammates a brother, and I have their backs on and off of the field. I know they would do the same for me. Because of that, I see us as unbreakable.”
