Madonna Topples Saints, 5-1
The Siena Heights men’s soccer team took a tough 5-1 loss to Madonna in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Oct. 5.
Madonna came out and scored first as Cezar Eduardo netted a ball in with 35th minute to give it a 1-0 lead.
The Saints answered back when Remy Collard netted a ball of his own in the 41st minute, tying it up 1-1.
Neither team could score for the rest of the half, leaving the score 1-1 going into halftime.
Madonna edged the Saints seven shots to six, and three corner kicks to zero.
Madonna started off the second half with a goal by Breno Stapcinskas. Madonna would not let up on the Saints, scoring three more goals and finishing the game 5-1.
Madonna dominated the Saints in the second, 10 shots to one and two corner kicks to one.
The Saints will travel to face Michigan Dearborn Oct. 9.
