Carmelo Anthony is one of the best scorers in NBA history.

But, some say his selfishness has cost him a chance at a championship. For the past year, Anthony was a free agent, with every team in the league refusing to pick him up. Anthony last played for the Houston Rockets, where he was waived by the team in the beginning of the 2018 season.

Anthony continued to train and keep his body in shape so that when he gets an opportunity, he’d be ready. On Nov. 15, Anthony received a call that he has been waiting on for a year. The Portland Trail Blazers offered Anthony an opportunity to come and not only play on the team, but to be a starter for them.

Every social media site was full of people excited about Anthony getting an opportunity to finish out his career. I don’t think this is a farewell tour for Anthony; I think he has a lot left in the tank.

I believe that Anthony just hasn’t been in the right situation or had the right type of players around him that could pursue an NBA championship. I’m excited to see what he’s going to bring to the table for the Trail Blazers. They have some good talent and also some playoff experience on their roster.
